Baby Gate When our grandchildren visited, I built this gate for the top of the stairs rather than go and buy one.  It is made from 1 x 3 pine and connected with pocket screws and glue.  I purchased hardware at two local hardware stores.  I used hinges that would open 180 degrees, so the gate can be swung open when not in use.  It measures 33 inches high.  The wall piece is screwed into a stud for security.
